Bidding Procedures
All bidders must register and sign in to obtain a buyer number.
All bidders’ names will be kept strictly confidential during the bidding process.
Bids are to be placed with Ron Eilers or Shelley Dippel at the phone numbers above.
Bids will be taken at a minimum of $100 increments up to $2000. Bids over $2000 must be made at increments of $200 or more.
Each time a bid is placed, the buyer number and the bid will be recorded for that sale lot. The current leading bid on a lot can be obtained from Ron or Shelley until bid closing at 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 29, 2021.
All initial bids must be in by 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 29, 2021 (called closing). Calls will be made starting at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, May 30, 2021, until 10:00 P.M., if necessary. Any calves not sold on Sunday will be sold on Monday, May 31, 2021, with phone calls starting at 10:00 A.M.
After closing, the final sale of each calf will be completed by phone. Bidders will be contacted after closing. We will complete bidding on each lot, starting with the calf with the highest bid at closing, then in order of bid price. Any runner-up bidders have the option to bid on another calf or calves that are not already sold. It is important that bidders be available at their designated phone number at the end of the bidding to conclude the sale. If we cannot reach the bidder by phone, we will move to the next bid. We plan to conclude all sales within 48 hours after closing. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
Arrangements must be made with Ron Eilers as to a pick-up date based on age/weaning date and mutual agreement of both parties. Calves not picked up as scheduled will be charged a fee of $10.00 per day for feeding unless prior arrangements have been made. Total payment or secure form of payment must be made before the calves are released. Payment will be accepted by cash, cashier’s check, money order, or personal check (driver’s license & DOB).
Animals are sold in “as-is” quality, soundness, fertility, etc.
On heifers, seller reserves the rights to 2 IVF flushes, with a guarantee of at least 6 Grade A embryos, at seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience. On bulls, seller reserves the rights to collection of semen, with a maximum 50 straws, at seller’s expense and buyer’s convenience.
